a win for WI in this tournament is counterproductive to the fortunes of the team as it further entrenches incompetence at the head of the setup. I'm glad for rutherford, who i have always said is the best limited overs(t20) batsman in the team. disappointed hetmeyer didn't press on but he's batting very well, rovman showed his worth again even though there were subtle attempts by misfits to hound him out the side by openly questioning his place there.
you all know my opinion

Losing is BETTER?
WHAT????
@FunnyMan
in the long run yes. west indies would have never changed their strategy had lillee and thompson's military assault not knocked them into the 21st century. i don't think anybody would argue losing 5-1 in 1975 was disadvantageous in the long run.

I fully understand ur sentiments but can't imagine reaching a stage whereby my dislike for CWI ,Sammy an whoever else prevents me from wanting to see the team successful an the joy it brings to our long suffering supporters around the world....I'm sure this win against Hengland(of all teams) has given all diehards a lift for the rest of the day ...an if ultimately we're not good enough to lift the trophy so be it but we will remember this win for a long time an treasure it....so giving thanks fuh small mercies!!
I don't thing saying a win not being good for WI CRICKET right now is the same as rooting for the team to lose. If fish head rotten (board and systems) team (tail) also will eventually.
Even i don't agree I can see the nuanced difference

Into the SUPER8
Yes, indeed...... we just need to focus on the next game at hand, plan and handle our resources accordingly...LFG
@FunnyMan
I will tell you after they play power house Nepal , with Nepal's 11 spinners..😎
@sgtdjones
Then you will be rooting for Nepal again for the win! You do realize this will not bring back Pooran right?
HA HA HA!
@voiceofreason
Poooooooooooo is on the Nepal wagon....
Tis was written...😎
@Brerzerk
exactly.............the teams have not progressed since 27 all out. they were fortunate to encounter pitches that in the first nz test, had flattened out so much that both sides made over 400 in the 2nd innings, which is a rarity and we saw how pourous they were in the next two tests and NZ didn't even have a full strength attack. As Deryck Murray said, the entire administration including the coaches and the president should have resigned after 27 all out. a win in this tournament will tyake the heat off the accountable parties and stall the changes desperately needed
