A run-out. Rest Powell or Rutherford...Right time to wet a young head...

Nope totally disagree ...for form an continuity gotta play best team available at all times ....this is a world cup not a warm up match or anything else!

So with injuries at any time and us virtually in the super six , wouldn't hurt if Quinton Sampson had a knock against a weaker opposition to get his eye in and to really feel a part of this campaign furthermore if he's the real deal he'll back at the next t20 world cup. Thus gaining experience for the next campaign.

@jamcricket

If WI beat Nepal the game against Italy becomes a dead rubber so not a bad shout to bring a couple guys in just incase something does happen!!!

@WIfan26

@jamcricket

I can jam with that type of cricket reasoning as a wondies fan.....

@FunnyMan

Motie has not batted so does Sheppard, sheppie have not faced 10 ball s.

time to replace Powell with an extra bowler.

we have depth in batting,

so far Powell have been a momentum killer. He is useless on the team.

In total disagreement with all of yawl ....Windies are not that great to be resting ppl just to wet somebody's head 😀...lets not get carried away with the win against Hengland great as it was ..i want us to be clinical an beat the hell out of Italy an Nepal ..we need the same intensity against every opponent an play our best team at all times unless injuries occur ...more time in the middle can only improve sharpness an readiness for bigger challenges ahead......Sampson time will come....next CPL will tell us if he's the real deal or another Jonathan Foo!!

@CCW

Bang errybody I agree

Thu, Feb 12, '26 at 4:08 PM

It's a long tourney and in a seemingly "dead rubber," I feel we need to have a look at our options available... just in case we need someone down the line....not when we get desperate and we just choose a man who is cold and sitting on the sidelines and haven't had enough gametime and practice...

Having a couple of other guys who have acclimatized to choose from as a no-brainer is a better option, IMO. That's all some of us are saying.......

Fail to plan is planning to fail.......

@FunnyMan

In reality Sampson was a ridiculous unjustified selection ...maybe if was somebody actually challenging for a place i might agree....i understand ur point but dnt agree with it ....Powell is the only the one Sampson could replace an why should he be rested just to give Sampson a game when he needs all the time he can get in the middle to sharpen up for bigger challenges ahead in the super 8's....it makes zero sense bro... tek yuh Gt hat off!!

Thu, Feb 12, '26 at 9:00 PM

@CCW

arite bro... we agree to disagree....

right, this thread has Sampson as the subject... but I personally meant anyone else appropriate for the position they need to fill, not just Sampson... we have 15 players.... the other 4 need some time in the nets and out in the field.

Thu, Feb 12, '26 at 11:35 PM

@FunnyMan

just to remind you the 4 on the sidelines from the Hengland game were Seales, Charles, Forde an Sampson.....only possibility i see but unlikely is Forde for Shepherd or Seales for Shamar....Charles an Sampson no chance or shouldn't be in my opinion!
