Holder and Joseph.

Can both bowlers use the slower and scramble balls. Their pace will not trouble any batsman.

After more than 10yrs international cricket Holder should've by now be an expert on wide yorkers instead of leg-side wides!

SA and WI are both playing well. SA probably has the advantage over WI based on the recent series and their side is now much more accustomed to holding their nerve and winning. If WI play at their best, then we will give them a real fight for their money.

@Brerzerk

He lacks the ability to think and remain calm under pressure.

When things are going well he thrives...

As they say " when the going gets tough, the tough gets going."

Holder is the antithesis of this...can never be a good leader on a battle field.

@Brerzerk

agreed ...maybe he doesn't put the work in ...an when drops short@120+ mph instead of presenting an opportunity fuh a catch because of the bounce he gets it usually ends up in the stands!!

That's what Holder been using, and getting licks. Joseph has pace that can trouble batsmen.

It would pls me immensely if Jason can prove me wrong

We have seen it too often over the years that when Jason Holder is targeted by batsmen he gets flustered...and more licks. All international teams know this major weakness.

Shamar Joseph has taken a page from Jason's book.

@natty_forever

Imperative that Chase plays and Kings sits, we may need 7 bowlers to complete 20 overs. I pray to Jah, I’m wrong but can’t see Holder, Shamar or Sheppy completing more than 2 overs each.

@Madmax

Question that need to be asked is, who bowling overs 18 19 and 20 in a tight contest

Tue, Feb 24, '26 at 9:26 PM

@Madmax

I will leave this up to Sammy, you all panicking

Tue, Feb 24, '26 at 10:03 PM

@Madmax

How did Chase do against SA in the recent series?

The only game we won defending a score, Motie took 3 wickets in a ten over a side affair

Chase was only effective in the first game and wicketless and for licks the other two

King stays, same side as last match

@Courtesy

Joseph did a good job in the death over the last 6 games

Imho, the bowling coach will have to literally remain on the boundary's edge where he can micro-manage our bowling attack.

How far we progress for the rest of the tournament is largely dependent on how well our bowlers can execute a finely tuned strategy and how agile we are when things go awry. Bowlers will have to, in the main, follow the script to a tee.

History has proven that our bowlers have had difficulty defending huge T20 totals.

I am not that optimistic that we can defend anything over 200 for the rest of the tournament. It's going to be difficult.
