Pariaman, I’m with you. You simply cannot drop the one bowler who generally controls the PP overs.

We may still have been beaten comprehensively ,what if Hosein had hit Markam stumps early with an in swinging arm ball . It’s a different game.

Sammy's brain is not as big as he thinks it is. Shepherd opening the bowling is clear testament as to why it was a bad decision to to leave out Hosein. Even against lesser teams it was established that.Hosein and Forde are our only effective options at opening the bowler. Shepherd's lucky 5fer was always going to cost us but i never expected to see him opening bowling gand eliminating any sort of pressure in powerplay overs.

Hosein has not bowled well in recent series, especially against SA but he was just refinding some form in the last games. But, even out of form he is a better new ball option than most in this squad

In the build up to the game, all the reputable pundits except you, were talking about how WI have controlled the previous games with their 2 spinners. What in &$&& name would make Sammy go away from that .
