I'm curious, what was the game plan for Rickelton and Markham?
We know Chase was selected to take out QdK.
But what would the scouting reports have said about the rest, because we for sure got it wrong

bowl full. malinga and before him waqar and wasim, and before them big bird bossed white ball cricket by doing the basics. has anyone realized only one player dominated malinga across WC at his peak...marlon samuels who was gifted with a talent much greater than any of the peasants you see in international cricket today.
@DIEHARD
matters not what scouting reports says if yuh not good enough to execute??

The SA top order, how to stop them?
Get an IPL bookie to offer them 200 runs without having to bat for a million gazillion rupees and a leather jacket - hope they take it - then chase it down.
Solved.

What everyone is missing is that the conditions favored South Africa style of play! The pitch was a true surface that suited their batters as well as their bowlers.
For West Indies to come out victorious they would have had to play a perfect game.
Windies only chance of defeating SA is on a pitch that is a slow turner!
