BVI Premier do not support Caricom free movement

The British Virgin Islands will not allow the free movement of Caribbean nationals if it is accepted as a full member of the Caribbean Community grouping, Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley has said. He told the Caribbean Media Corporation on Thursday that he is hoping to further advance his British Overseas Territory’s application for full membership at the ongoing Caribbean Community 50th regular summit that ends on Friday.

If you do not support free movement within CARICOM then why bother to apply for membership? You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Don’t worry not many persons considering to relocate to your almost invisible island. I visited there once, I was so bored and couldn’t wait for the next ferry from St. Thomas, USVI to arrive.
