Performance in this Wt20
I am satisfied with the team
@voiceofreason
Agreed! Our best performance at the WC since 2016.
Based on what exactly?
@kingdom
I would more say a case of recency bias
The last T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean, we got to the identical stage of tournament and had the same result in the Super 8βs. 1 Win and 2 Losses.
In the preliminary rounds, we beat Papua New Guinea, New Zealand,Uganda, and Afghanistan
In the Super Eights, we beat USA and lost to England and South Africa.
So in both tournaments, we handily beat associate teams, beat a team ranked higher than us in the preliminary round, beat an associate team and lost to teams ranked higher than us in the super 8βs.
To me, there has been no difference in how the team performed compared to the last T20 World Cup in 2024.
It shows that we are easily better than associate teams, and when it counts, lose to teams weβre expected to lost to.
