17.3

James Neesham to Tristan Stubbs, SIX, James Neesham is the weak link and they are cashing in. Tried the short ball but it sat up.

17.2

James Neesham to Tristan Stubbs, FOUR, belted down the ground. Long-on and long-off did not even enter the frame. Full and in the slot, Stubbs swung hard, didn't middle it but still had enough power to get the four

17.5

James Neesham to Marco Jansen, FOUR, oh a fine tickle. Marco moved across and managed to get a faint edge on this glance. Neesham fired the yorker slightly down the leg-side

18.1

Lockie Ferguson to Tristan Stubbs, out Bowled!! The middle stump is out of the ground. Brilliant slower delivery. Was a tease as it was in the slot, Stubbs waits to slog hard, through the shot a bit early. Ball brushed the pad and knocked out the middle pole. Lockie Ferguson roars as he knows this will make a difference of 10 runs to the scoreboard. Stubbs had a plan to go ultra aggressive in the last two overs and Lockie has delivered a huge blow.

Tristan Stubbs b Lockie Ferguson 29(24) [4s-2 6s-1]

Lockie Ferguson to Marco Jansen, SIX, tees off now. Short and the slower ball again stood up, Jansen stood back and smashed it high and handsome over wide long-on for a mighty six

18.5

Lockie Ferguson to Marco Jansen, SIX, pace off wasn't working so he went pace on but landed right in the slot for Marco to go through the line and straight over long-on. What a time to bring up his first fifty of the tournament. The dugout and the SA fans in the stands applaud this wonderful innings

19.3

Matt Henry to Corbin Bosch, out Bowled!! Great yorker at the base of middle and off. Bosch swings and misses as it dipped just under his bat to disturb the stumps. Three balls, just 4 runs and a wicket in this over and Marco will be off strike for the fourth ball

Corbin Bosch b Matt Henry 2(3)

19.4

Matt Henry to Kagiso Rabada, out Caught by James Neesham!! KG just wanted to chip it for a single but he's picked out the man at long-on and Marco is left frustrated at the other end as he can't have strike

Tim Seifert and Finn Allen are at the crease.

Tim Seifert is on strike.

Marco Jansen will open the attack

0.2

Marco Jansen to Tim Seifert, FOUR, wanted to play straight but it escaped off the outer half of the bat through cover-point. Full and swinging back in slightly, Seifert aimed mid-on but the ball went to the off-side

Wed, Mar 4, '26 at 10:29 AM

0.5

Marco Jansen to Tim Seifert, FOUR, edgeddd but South Africa don't have someone at third slip. No one will have a man there in this format. Second boundary off the edge for Seifert. Fullish and on the stumps, Seifert looks to flick, leading edge splits first slip and short third man for four more

Kagiso Rabada to Finn Allen, FOUR, oh he's edged this between slip and short third man. The gap was pretty tight but he managed to pierce this. Short of a length delivery moving away, Allen wanted to steer, but he got it on the outside half of the bat and it rolled along the ground

Wed, Mar 4, '26 at 10:39 AM

2.1

6

Marco Jansen to Finn Allen, SIX, smacked down the ground. First well-timed shot of the innings. Full and in the slot, Allen had his left leg out of the way and hit through the line to clear the straight boundary quite easily

Marco Jansen to Tim Seifert, FOUR, change of angle from Marco Jansen but Seifert plays a lofted straight drive. Slot ball, Seifert posed for the cameras but he didn't get it off the middle. Luckily flew straight enough to clear mid-on easily to the left after going off the inner half of the bat

2.4

6

Marco Jansen to Tim Seifert, SIX, the audacious scoop from Seifert. Full and on the stumps, Seifert moves across and helps it on its way and clears the fine leg fence. After all the luck, New Zealand are motoring along now
