india have stumbled through the tournament, which is expected because they are playing under pressure the rest of the world can only imagine. the only team that probably dealt with similar pressure was the west indians from 91-95 fighting to keep the unbeaten run going. zim, you are right, played very well. nz sputtered until they did an ivan drago on sa today. usa had a better tourney in 2024 that they had this year, italy and scotland fought with great spirit but i'd still argue that they are flashes in the pan. the cricket culture is weak. Afghanistan were contenders for this tournament, ended up leaving before the super 8s, this reminded me of the 2003 tournament, which followed the great 99 World Cup. A few good games…..sandwiched by one sided beat downs. The super 8 stage was genuinely surprising. I expected more teams to fight like how WI fought India to the last over. Sri Lanka were pathetic and I was extremely disappointed by their performances in the super 8. Pakistan was predictably mediocre, which is a downgrade from the irresistible brilliance that side presented up until 2022

My enjoyment will increase if India gets beaten
