Axar Patel to Finn Allen, out Caught by Tilak Varma!! The change of bat did not work for Finn Allen. He inspects the toe end of the bat before trudging back to the pavilion. SKY walks up to Axar and gives him a tight hug. Quicker delivery darted in on the stumps, Allen went back to play the slog pull and mistimed it off the thick inside half. Flat and straight to Tilak at long-on. Shivam Dube will feel relieved right now. Remember, he dropped Allen when he was on nought.

Jasprit Bumrah to Rachin Ravindra, out Caught by Ishan Kishan!! Excellent catch from the pocket rocket at fine leg. Jasprit Bumrah is chuffed to bits and he runs away in absolute delight before catching Ishan Kishan. 121ks length delivery on leg stump

Axar Patel to Glenn Phillips, out Bowled!! The leg peg goes for a walk. New Zealand supporters in disbelief as Axar has his hands aloft in delight. The cunning slider from the spinner, Phillips had no clue about it. Tried to play straight, but the ball dipped late and ended up playing down the wrong line. The ball kisses the deck and skids off to hit the leg stump

Hardik Pandya to Mark Chapman, out Bowled!! Dragged on. Things getting bad to worse for the Kiwis. All the members of the Indian team look very relaxed. 135ks length delivery slanting away outside off. No feet from Chapman as he tried to slash square on the off-side

Varun Chakaravarthy to Tim Seifert, out Caught by Ishan Kishan!! Is that the World Cup for India? The celebrations seem like it. Indian flags flying high in Ahmedabad. Ishan Kishan with yet another crunch catch near the boundary ropes. The length was short and Seifert's natural instinct was to play the pull. Skewed it off the thick inside half and sent it flat towards cow corner

Arshdeep Singh to Daryl Mitchell, no run, Mitchell is furious with Arshdeep. He makes animated gestures with his hands while walking towards him aggressively. Surya now tries to defuse the situation as he has a chat with Mitchell with an arm on his shoulder. Umpire also having a chat with Arshdeep. Needless throw that was. Wide yorker outside off, squeezed back down the pitch and Arshdeep has a shy at the stumps, hitting Mitchell on the thigh

Axar Patel to Mitchell Santner, no run, Hardik drops a sitter! Cleverly bowled, slanted away wide of off from round the wicket, makes Santner reach for it and he gets it right off the toe-end. Should've been gobbled at backward point but Hardik makes a meal of it

Axar Patel to Daryl Mitchell, out Caught by Ishan Kishan!! Hits a full toss straight to deep midwicket. Everything Axar touches turns to gold. Should've been whacked out of the ground but Mitchell probably got it a little high on the bat. Goes flat to Kishan for his third catch of the evening.

Abhishek Sharma to Jacob Duffy, out Caught by Tilak Varma!! India get their much-awaited crowning moment at Ahmedabad. The same venue that was the scene of one of their biggest heartbreaks now bears witness as they create history. They win the T20 World Cup for the third time, becoming the first team to do so. Some other firsts as well which we'll get to. But what a performance on the night of the final.

Reactions as soon as Tilak took the catch:
Ishan came running in to climb on Tilak. Pandya is seen with arms outstretched as he looks towards the crowd. Jay Shah hugs MS Dhoni. Then the dugout rose and hugged with Gambhir and Kotak embracing. Axar went to Samson to congratulate. SKY and the others celebrate. SKY sweeps the pitch with his hand. Ishan hugs SKY. Hardik has an Indian flag in his hand and so do Rinku and Siraj. Dube and Tilak with a stump each as souvenirs.
Fireworks go above the night sky. Kids in their whites run on to the field with the Indian flags in their hands. The post-match handshakes follow. Gambhir is hugged by Pandya, SKY and the others. Santner manages a smile. Pandya does a little jig with the flag wrapped behind his back. He blows a kiss to someone in the crowd. SKY and Pandya pose together for the cameras with their Indian flags.

First team to win it at home.
First team to win it back to back.
And the first team to win it three times.
