@Chrissy
I watched a bit of round 3 on Sat. and he was about 5 back from the leader at the time....
Seems he did excellent during yesterday's last round as by the time I tuned in, he was in the playoffs.... and then I saw when he won.
Good stuff...by AB......
@FanAttick
The guy has some game.
I watch him several round this year and including yesterday, he is 24 years old and his third win.
@FunnyMan
That back 9 was fantastic, especially that eagle on 16.
But for a bannuhs that weights as much as a canary he hits the ball a long long way.
@SnoopDog
Distance is mostly having a good swing and a high swing speed.
Also, Akshay got game. He turned pro at 17, after high school, a rarity in golf. He’s been through all the levels and worked his way up.
@googley
You rank him better than Sahith Theegala?
Yes. Bhatia has a better swing and all round better game than Theegala.
It will be interesting to see what happens to a lot of these long hitters when the tour adopts the rolled back ball.
From what I've read it will be a higher spinning ball. So not only will it fly shorter than the current balls, but with more spin the bombers will have to learn how to control the flight and trajectory especially on iron and wedge shots.
Modern balls don't spin as much the old balatas so most players now can literally just grip it and rip it and swing for the fences. But with the rolled back ball that will certainly change.
