OPENERS Jeremy Solozano and Evin Lewis made identical scores with the bat, both men hitting 68 in the ongoing Trinidad and Tobago Red Force three-day practice match at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Balmain, Couva.Both men, along with Cephas Cooper continued to battle for the two opening spots in the Red Force line-up for the upcoming four-day championship.Solozano’s effort came at the top of the order for Red Force I, helping to set the tone in their first innings total of 351.
The left-hander produced a composed knock, facing 76 balls and striking 12 fours while Joshua James top-scored with 82 off 138 deliveries with ten fours. Andrew Rambaran also scored a half-century, hitting 63 off 132 balls, also counting ten fours.In reply, Lewis ensured Red Force II stayed competitive with a patient 68 of his own.
