Shep competes with Alzari for the "honey" title.

When will they learn to bowl?

At least Alzarri has an excuse, it is his first game back after a long absence from this level of cricket.

Bruh, Alzari has owned the honey jar for years. It's just a continuation of his ineptness.

@dayne

Discourtesy has been talking crap for decades. The sad part is he actually believes the crap he talks. 4 overs 2/32 not bad returns and Aljo before injury was our top white ball bowler.

@voiceofreason

In T20 the "Honey King" has an econ rate of 9.24...Shep has an econ rate of 10.01. But Shep can put runs on the board and can be considered an allrounder. Shep gets the edge.

Is Alzari your specimen of "our top bowler"?

The man has been crap for his entire T20 bowling life.

Sat, Mar 28, '26 at 10:54 PM

@Courtesy

The Man has a s/r of 15.90 which is just as crucial as an ECON rate. He is a strike bowler who can be a bit expensive due to his pace. If you look at this historically he has a better s/r than Dwayne bravo, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Starc.

His role is to take wickets.

You all love to jump the gun!

There were at least 2 other bowlers who had worse bowling figures than Shepherd!

Well, he took 3 wickets and his team won, what more can you ask for!😜

@StumpCam

Shep has always leaked runs in T20. It is a fact. What has given him longevity in IPL is the consideration that he can put runs on the board.

His bowling better improve significantly...

But you have taken this tp ridiculous heights by indicating that he was better than 2 of the opposing team bowlers....continue to take comfort in this.

............................

I will continue to be ringside viewing the duel of the honey badgers

@Courtesy

Context my brother! Obviously the wickets are favorable to the batsmen given the 200 plus scores!

Even Hardik balls were licked today for 13 rpo!

Sun, Mar 29, '26 at 11:56 AM

@StumpCam

Pray tell what accounts for Shep's IPL econ rate of 11.85 after 19 matches.

You may also wish to compare it with Sunil Narine's 6.80 after 189 matches.

Further, would you agree that Shep's sample size of 19 matches is adequate for statistical purposes?

More importantly, is this context useful for you?

Sun, Mar 29, '26 at 12:12 PM

@voiceofreason

Alzarri's SR in IPL is 20.67.

Mitchel Starc is 16.11

Lasith Malinga is 16.63.

@Courtesy

What say you about the bowling of the just concluded match KKR v MI??

Seems very much like Shepherd despite his history! Something to ponder!

In any event I’m not here to defend Shepherd, just an observation of current events.

Sun, Mar 29, '26 at 2:28 PM

@StumpCam

I'd like to say just on thing: On this strip, Shep would have gone for plenty, plenty, plenty.

But I rather suspect, you waited to see if Narine would have gone for more than Shep before coming back to this thread.

Reasonable persons here will agree that Shep is more than a runs truck. He has never proven otherwise.

😁😁😁

Shep finally takes the "honeycomb"...sorry, I meant Honey Crown.
