Wha allyuh think about this?
@imusic
You trying to coax Dukes out of his lair!
If I had to make one change to that excellent team it would probably be Garner with one of Robert’s, Croft, Walsh or Gibbs.
@StumpCam
I wouldn’t put Croft or Walsh ahead of Garner.
Roberts is special because he really was th genesis of th rebirth of WI fast bowling after years where the likes of Clive Lloyd opened WI bowling.
Those were lean years indeed. Vanburn Holder, Keith Boyce (sometimes), Sobers, Bernard Julien, Uton forkane Dowe, etc was our “pace” bowling attack.
Then came Andy Roberts and it was fire. Everyone knew he was special, and what made it even more so is he came from Combined Islands. Not many in those days came from that territory. Elquemido Willet and Mike Findlay were probably the most prominent from that territory at the time
@imusic
Decent team. I have always said I would not have Greenidge and Haynes as openers. My openers would have been Viv and Headley with Weekes at 3. Also think I would have had Gibbs in place of Garner.

@spider
Not sure about this ,didn't see Headley or Weekes...i thought Weekes was a middle order batsmen.....nevertheless one glaring omission is Lance Gibbs ...so Garner would have to miss out...in any case couldn't have Garner before Andy Roberts!
i would actually prefer to see the members' views on the best possible 2026 test XIII.
There are more than 11 greats therefore there will always be contention and disagreement for a few spots.
undeniable picks, me thinks, are Macco, Viv, Sobers and Lara. But what of black Bradman?
Also, Frank Worrell was a great player and a great captain but I'm not sure he would make my team. Think I'd probably use Headley as captain instead.
