Last played world cup in 2014....missed 3 World Cup...

2018

2022

2026

Although European champions in 2021....

Has money...big clubs ....but mismanagement at the top....in 2010 Roberto Baggio as technical director prepared a 900 pages report....but Structural Change....report in dustbin... Italy Football in wilderness and laughing stock...

West Indies cricket....crying money....but refuse to make structural changes...failed to qualify for world Cups...2022..2023...on the cusp of playing qualifiers for 2027...with only 12 ODIs left...

3 vs Sri Lanka home

3 vs New Zealand home

3 vs India away

3 vs Afghan...

CWI must stop crying money...as it's clear money not the main instrument...take administration decisions with fresh appointments...Dammy,Reifer, Griffith, Rampaul..pack bags leave... implement reports...bring in professionals...not boot lickers...

or else...2026----Football Italy

2027... Cricket West Indies

Yes Indeed but some dis similarities also as the club scene in Italy is thriving,

Main similarities are around how the national team is run, coach selection but in essence players not having the pride in the jersey and too much arrogance are the big issues.

Now there is a difference:

Italian FA Head and Buffon quit over World Cup failure

Gabriele Gravina has resigned as the head of Italy's football association (FIGC) following their failure to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup.

Also on Thursday, former goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who was working closely with the men's national team, resigned as delegation head via Instagram.
, external
Buffon, who was part of Italy's 2006 World Cup-winning side, wrote that with Gravina's decision to go, he felt, "as an act of responsibility", he should do the same.

The difference is that I don't see West Indian leadership demonstrating that level of accountability.

@Acid

Guess when a country has high expectations, they react differently.

Our batter underperforming in all formats....Reifer continue to prosper...Icon said it in 2019...we now in 2026.....7 years.. CWI under Skerritt-Shallow...... couldn't find any batting coach....for very brief period Hooper was appointed..... but alas...
