Time for an overhaul. CEO Dehring
Cricket West Indies (CWI) chief executive officer Chris Dehring believes the time is right for a complete overhaul of the region’s domestic cricket structure as the organisation grapples with rising costs and a changing global landscape.
Dehring, speaking during a recent CWI news conference, revealed that CWI has already begun changing up its domestic competitions to make them more efficient, productive and aligned with international demands.
“We have to re-engineer everything,” he admitted, pointing to the inclusion of cricket in multi-sport events such as the Pan American Games and Olympic Games as the catalyst for the evolution of the game in the Caribbean.
