Although we all know the limitations of our FC season, I always feel a thrill when it is about to start. A hope that maybe someone will dominate and show that he has reached a level where he could be considered of international standard. Some newbie will stake his claim to be worthy of his cap. A captain will lead from the front. Of the match ups in this year's strangely formatted tournament, I think that Leewards v TT is probably the most even and most likely to produce some memorable moments. I still think that WI trial matches either instead of or after these matches would make the most sense but I am just a fan still hoping that we can produce XI players in 2026 that can be consistently competitive internationally.
