I believe if persisted with, will come good in test
Jangoo is a fighter
He had a great 2024 and ended with a century on debut and a test cap. He had a mediocre 2025 and was eclipsed by Auguste in the WI team, who has never scored even a regional century, based on one innings in CPL. Auguste has now scored 95 and Jangoo a huge hundred. would the powers that be again say that Auguste is a better investment? After all, they did say that Carty and Athanaze were better investments than Bravo who was scoring runs at will and now neither of them can even make a WI team
what is interesting is how Jangoo, after wearing down the bowlers, has increased his strike rate during the course of his innings. That is a very Lara/Shiv kind of batting
@methodic
I'd pick him and give him a decent run to cement his spot. Watched him this morning on you tube. Very organised and plays for the moment.
@PalsofMine
Good century by Jangoo who has played for Leeward Hurricanes in the past so he is very familiar with the bowlers and the grounds.
Not sure why Ackeem is in the conversation as he never usurped Jangoo in the Test team. Also Ackeem is 22 and battinG 1-3 and Jangoo is 28 a wicketkeeper batsman and a middle order bat. Jangoo has not done well in t20is as hi s s/r is poor. ODIS he deserves a proper run but we are dealing now with FC.
@PalsofMine
@methodic
Well he needed to be cause the Lwds wanted to fight (back).
@tc1
My error. Yes he is only a kid compared to Jangoo so I am not sure why the comparison.
