Generally the effort from the Leewards primarily and the Windward islands were pathetic. They looked unmotivated and were just going through the motions. To make it worse their teams possess present, past and future West Indian players. If I were the president of CWI I would have called a meeting and threatened the boards, the coaches, the managers and most of all the players. Then I will send a contingent to each team to assess and help in anyway they can.
Absolutely Ridiculous effort from the islands!
@methodic
Let the series play out before we jump to conclusions. The Guyana vs Windwards game is not even done yet. Agreed Leewards with their talent should be doing better than what they showed this match. I think they will improve next game once the Selectors make the right changes!
@voiceofreason
no one is jumping to conclusions. In the first game the players should be rearing to go., especially young players.
@methodic
Maybe preparation is an issue. Must be harder to get a squad together across the islands
Should Leewards and Windwards be replaced with WI A and WI Academy teams?
Will those 2 teams be more competitive than Leewards and Winwards?
Well, batters like Louis and Carty really let the team down, maybe a batting order change should be done, with Carty batting at #3 instead of Andrew. J Louis looked toothless, it is time for Pittman
@methodic
Preparation is always a challenge for a Territory made up of 8 different islands, where only 2 of the teams have organised cricket. I also saw some questionable lbw dismissals of Hamilton and Carty in that 2nd innings so that did not help.
No excuses, the team will have to bounce back next game.
