400 plus opening partnership - dont recall where or they were playing against
@Chrissy
Congratulations to the YARD>
Well played.
No one can say Bim declared prematurely...This was a case of JAMAICA batting out of their skins...and I honestly cannot recall when they have ever batted this well as an opening partnership... not to discount the OTHERS who reached the target with 7 wickets to spare.
ThAT is simply brilliant cricket.
That was nice and without naming other regional openers, we saw today the value of an opener who can attack the bowling and put them on the backfoot. My only difficulty is that we saw this all season last year from Campbell and then there was several starts and one good score at the international level. if we cast our minds back for the past 20 years, we can recognise at least 2 other openers who did the same. I am especially happy for Kirk and hope that is the beginning of his turn around at this level
@PalsofMine
I know ppl give Campbell a hard time...and yes he does make yuh suck teet the way he gets out at the highest level.
TODAY however was about concentrating. and communication with his batting partner.
That level of confidence I want to see from him ALL the time at the highest level...
I pray this is his MATURITY knock...never to return to mediocrity again.
All of us are tired of the brain fart dismissals...
Happy for John.

Credit to the batsmen as 326/3 to win on the 4th day is special but the Bajan bowling attack does not inspire much confidence. Jair Mcallister has some potential but the rest of the guys are medium pacers. Their most experienced bowler Warrican failed to show up on the 4th day when you expect spin bowlers to come to the fore.
Will see what happens in the 2nd match.
