We need to find out if these guys are international level or just regional bullies. JC has done well over the past 2 seasons but has probably one international score over 50.
There is a difference between having talent and using it. McKenzie, Wickham, Jangoo, Auguste, Imlach have all shown that they have some talent. How best can they apply themselves at international level so that this talent will bear fruit?
Greaves and Hodge have each had one or two good outings for WI. Greaves in particular is disappointing for me. For a man with 2 unbeaten centuries to have an average in low 20s means that he has done almost nothing apart from those 2 centuries. Hodge is in the same category. I would prefer consistency over a man who will give one good score per series and waste space in the batting line up otherwise.
For me, apart from Hope and King, both of whom had shown some consistency throughout 2025, all batting spots from 1-7 in the international team are still open.
