Was the Jayden Seales delivery a length ball or a short ball? For the life of me I am not sure why some are calling this a short ball when it clearly pitched into the good length lines.

If the answer is a length ball is it normal for that type of delivery to rise to that level?

@voiceofreason

dude.....louis isn't even in the frame when the ball lands on the pitch. this north Korean style propaganda you constantly engage in is deeply disturbing homes.....i remember Alvin Kallicharran in an after dinner speech saying anybody in GT who played on the front foot to a short ball in his days was a sure hospital case. so said, so done

@Jumpstart

I give up on that CBL.

hadda tell that to louis...first thing is yuh doh play on the front foot to a short ball. i not facing a red orb that could potentially send me to Peter

The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium again came under scrutiny in February 2019, when the pitch used for another Test between the sides was rated "below average" by the ICC due to uneven bounce, receiving a demerit point.Match referee Jeff Crowe cited "uneven bounce" at the southern pavilion end as the primary issue.Several batsmen were struck on the hands and body by unplayable deliveries that "leaped" off a length.

@sgtdjones

Thank you Sarge!

Leap off a length! So there’s history !

@voiceofreason

that was 2019 homes.....root and co weren't confronting short pitched bowling on the front foot

Thu, Apr 23, '26 at 2:59 PM

@voiceofreason

That would have torn off any batsman's head.

Thu, Apr 23, '26 at 3:12 PM

@Raggs

well if yuh batting outside yuh crease, as louis was doing, then yes that happens. louis was half a foot outside his crease....plus he was playing on the front foot. that is an absolute no/no. have you ever seen any of our great or even good batsmen playing the short ball on the front foot......back and across......that is pre-school batting technique.

Thu, Apr 23, '26 at 4:01 PM

@voiceofreason

This delivery was short of a good length looking at the side-on view an if Louis was batting in his crease it may have gone over his head ...batting outta yuh crease an playing on the front foot against a quick is double jeopardy....was a schoolboy error an he was to blame moreso than the pitch...useless an clueless should hang up he whites!!

@CCW

Looking at the side on suggests that it was just short of a good length but to say that this was some effort short ball by Seales is quite misleading.
