Hamilton has not been treated fairly by WI

Dude has serious steel. Always batting under pressure and comes away with something

Those thoughts were on my mind today and felt, that he should have played for the West Indies, maybe as a pure batsman,I posted about him with the same sentiments a few years ago.He is a better batsman than many of the failures who were picked in front of him.

@Jumpstart

Isn't he 35 years old now?

@sgtdjones

yeah. doh mean he's gotten a fair shot....west indies continually pushed mediocre test cricketers like shai hope, RTN, kraigg and chase and dowrich(who could not catch a cold) at the expense of actually talented players

@Jumpstart

Lol. The "mediocre" names you called have 2 things in common. 1. They are all Barbadian - no surprise there given Imusic's jealousy is only topped by your hate; and 2. They all have either superior first class or test averages to Hamilton. With the exception of RTN (a bowling allrounder) they all have vastly superior first class averages. But RTN in his 3 tests had an average of 45 to Hamilton's 2.5 from one test. Not fair to judge a man on 1 test but spare a thought for RTN.

Of the others only Dowrich was selected as a keeper and not only is his first class average significantly higher than Hamilton's but even his test average of 29 is higher than Hamilton's FIRST CLASS average of 28.

I share this information not for your edification as I know you don't care 2 farts about any facts that get in the way of your agenda but for the benefit of others that are not aware what a bottom feeder you are

@Logic

Dude….both hope and Dowrich average 33 and 34 at the first class level. That’s Devon Smith’s average. If you find that acceptable and not mediocrity, then go ahead. But as I mentioned m, he was among a group of talented players who were sacrificed to let these mediocre jokers get extended opportunities to fail. Darren Bravo for years was the only man in the WI to average over 40 and he still has a better average than hope and talentless kraigg

@Jumpstart

Sorry. I misread. I thought your post was about a guy named Hamilton getting treated unfairly. He has a FC average of 28.5, well below Hope and Dowrich FC averages....even if their averages are mediocre. By the way Devon Smith was a topscorer in regional cricket for years. He failed at test level.

But you know that

I should make it clear in case anyone is in doubt...... your post was never intended to promote Hamilton's case. If Hamilton got selected for WI you would be one of the first raging against it, pointing out HIS mediocre first class stats and labelling it another Sammy dotty pick.

It's amazing how much nonsense all ya post.

Dowrich made Windies team as a batsman.

Actually scoring a 70 on debut, against the mighty Ozz.

Ramdum was the keeper and cappo.

Dowrich also scored 2 fifties against the Ozzies in their touring game.

Dowrich was a decent batsman until he suffered stress related illness.

His stress had family related illness and due to privacy I will not elaborate.

All I will say about that is that we need to respect people when they go through stress.

Prior to the illnesses, Dowrich was the best keeper/batsman in the region,

Yes Ramdum was the best keeper, but I said keeper/batsman above.

Now this is really about Hamilton.

He was not given a good chance and has demonstrated some serious maturity recently.

Scammy made it clear that he and Mohammed are out.

I disagree with Scammy (as usual), but he is King

There is a place for experience performing player to mentor these youths.

Barring a miracle, Hamilton is done with. 😫

I will like to see Hamilton in the Academy team next month.

@Logic

I believe it is not fair to rate just a player's overall career average but instead look at his average in the last 2- 3 seasons where his average is 45+. There is also no doubt about his glovesmanship.

I saw Josh Dasilva drop a sitter off Greaves on 96. Josh should be batting alone.

@voiceofreason

So Carl Hooper’s career average from 2001-2002 was 41 and 48….and he still couldn’t get his average above 40. Conversely, Shiv Chanderpaul averaged below 40 until 2002, when he took off against the Indians in the Caribbean. Shiv’s average finished over 50. A career average speaks to sustained excellence or sustained mediocrity and is the best marker of a player’s performance. Hooper’s career tells us that we could only expect two seasons where he would remotely fulfilled his talent whereas Shiv’s career tells us he frequently overachieved and I would take a man with limited talent who works at his craft day in day out than is insanely gifted and wastes it. Talent does not equal one run
