@methodic
I'd have 1 change to your team by bringing in Hinds over Bishop.
Batting
DaSilva+ 413 (59.0 avg)
Jangoo 411 (68.5 avg)
Wickham 393 (78.6 avg) - 3 centuries
Chanderpaul 342 (57.0 avg)
Campbell 334 (66.8 avg)
McKenzie 323 (64.6 avg)
Bowling
Motie 27 @15.22
Phillip 25 @21.24
Seales 23 @13.08
For the last 2 spots, I would pick Hinds (His numbers are against 3 Different teams) and Paul (Played against 2 Teams) with Bishop (played against 1 team) being the 12th man
Hinds 274 (45.66 avg), 15 wickets @ 24.13
Paul 212 runs (30.28 avg), 13 wickets @ 21.00
Bishop 155 runs (51.66 avg), 16 wickets @ 25.00 (granted he only played 3 matches)
In the final when Hinds and Paul faced off against each other they were very close
Hinds 29 & 23, 3/46 & 3/20
Paul 49 & 14, 3/28 & 3/47
Good team though I am still not convinced by Tage even doh he makes runs. He has the making of a regional flat track bully
@Acid
Good analysis. I think that Hinds was the quiet find of the tournament with some consistently good performances. Paul was outstanding as we knew he would be once he could remain fit. Each easily outplayed Greaves as the resident allrounder or Springer who had some good batting but his bowling did not match Paul or Hinds. Either would make the side with Seales and Phillips for me with Bishop and Motie or Pierre as spinners. Unfortunately we still are unable to find a consistent right arm offie and no leggies were on display. No #3 batsmen stood out either but there were some good choices for 4, 5 and 6. I am cautious about McKenzie who only faced the under par Bim attack on flat pitches. I would be willing to have Campbell come in at #3
@Acid
Your argument is a top one. I am just thinking about the semi final where he carried the fight for Barbados
CWI could do worse than using these stats towards the 90 contracts they give out each year regionally.
After the international retainers and academy they should look at reducing the number of these regional contracts.
@methodic
Motie failing to outthink Seales tells me he is not a test match spinner!
@methodic
Since the panel agree with you, how many of team will be shortlisted for the test team.
