Ah laughing at the low stocks man. He will never recover from this ordeal.

All aspects of cricket need serious regular fine tuning.

Those of us who have played cricket know this...

Let me laugh again.

😀😀😀

I am so happy that Nicholas Pooran has failed in IPL. Declining stocks will be the order of the day.

Let me quote a regular poster here: "watch de ride.".

Hahaha!!

@Courtesy

You still watching that nonsense!

I’ve came to the realization that I prefer to watch the traditional game over this crap!

Much more satisfying.

@StumpCam

I usually watch on weekends...like you, the traditional game is my preferred option.

Needless to say I like when cricketers who have turned their backs on West Indies cricket fail BIGLY in the various circuses.

..................

When a player has already secured millions of dollars and set up their family for generations, a bad two-month stretch of cricket is just a bump in the road, not a life-altering tragedy. Even the greatest athletes in sports history, from Virat Kohli to LeBron James, have faced brutal slumps where the media and fans wrote them off.

The best players use a failure like this as a wake-up call to fix technical flaws. For an explosive batsman like Poo, a poor season usually means bowlers figured out a specific weakness.The beauty of modern T20 cricket is that the next tournament is always just around the corner. He won't have to wait a year to prove his critics wrong

At 30 years old, Poo is right in his athletic prime. History shows that write-offs usually fuel the most explosive comebacks.

When a West Indian cricketer looks at these numbers, the choice is clear. Nicholas Pooran can make ten times his annual international salary in just two months playing in India. If he layers that with stints in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), UAE's ILT20, and the USA's Major League Cricket, he can comfortably clear $3 million to $4 million USD a year as a free agent.

Expecting a young athlete to turn down millions of dollars to play for a board that has historically struggled with administration and basic player relations is simply unrealistic.: Players earn a few thousand dollars per international match, but this requires being selected, staying injury-free, and spending up to 10 months a year on the road away from family.

@sgtdjones

They have a name for people who laugh at orders...

@sgtdjones

At the end of the day WI cricket is who helped to groom him and gave him the platform to exhibit his goods. All good maximising your earning potential but he could have balanced it playing for WI. Anyways we don't need him as he is overrated.

@voiceofreason

Yep, "balance" de ting man. It's a win/win for the player, his family, West Indies Cricket and fans.

Trintobagonians have this tendency to believe the Caribbean is not inportant in their overall scheme of things. And it will come increasing so with their current PM setting the example.

Hahaha!!

Btw, have you not noticed the contempt for Tobagonians from de Trinis?

Join me in wishing Tobago success in their quest for autonomy.

Hahaha!!

Pooran should hang his head in shame for taking de franchise's money for such underperformance.

Will he hand back 99% of his pay cheque to LSG in acknowlgement of his massive underperformance?

😀😀😀

................To update you...

So now we change the goal post:

Yep, "balance" de ting man. It's a win/win for the player, his family, West Indies Cricket and fans.

WICB and CWI really care about their cricket players...huh

Remember: WI need a star team, not a team of stars - Hilaire

Then after a minnow destroyed CWI team , the star players were recalled.

Btw, have you not noticed the contempt for Tobagonians from de Trinis?
Join me in wishing Tobago success in their quest for autonomy.

The PNM ruled tobago for 50 plus years , they had a PNM government in T&T for 53 years !!!!

Their father of the country (Eric Williams) after they supported him allowed them to live in squalor and lack of amenities, even with Manning and Rowley's government.

Wait a Minute: Tobago Finally Getting Real Respect, Not Just Old Talk

Let’s be real for years, every time election season roll around, Trinidad politicians love to fly over to Tobago, stand up on platform, and promise the sun, moon, and stars when it comes to "autonomy." But as soon as the results count up, it’s back to the same old recipe: Tobago waiting on hand and foot for Port of Spain to release a little change to fix a road or run a school. For decades, under the old PNM days, that paternalistic "we know what good for you" mindset was the order of the day.

The present government didn't do such; allowed Tobago to pick their own to parliament representatives.

Tobago threw out the PNM.

The current administration actually putting their money where their mouth is, and you have to give jacks his jacket.

First of all, look at the pockets. Tobago just pull down a massive $3.72 billion TTD allocation for the 2026 fiscal year. We talking about 6.3% of the whole national budget. For years, governments used to stick strictly to that dry 4.03% legal minimum like it was a holy commandment, keeping Tobago on a tight financial leash. Remember the Calcutta ship will be coming to Tobago!!!!😳

Now, the THA finally have the real financial weight to direct cash straight into local education and infrastructure without having to cross the water to beg permission for every single cent.

On top of that, look at how fast they pass the THA Amendment Bill 2026. They didn't drag their feet. They cut out the old "rule of seven" restrictions that was tying up the Chief Secretary hands, giving Farley Augustine the legal freedom to expand and build out an Executive Council that actually makes sense for Tobago today.

The sweetest part of the draft? No more Trinidad lawyers sitting down in Port of Spain writing out Tobago destiny on their own terms. Central government actually sitting down with Tobago leadership to co-author a brand new constitutional framework as equals. It’s about time. Tobago is a partner in this marriage, not a sidekick, and this new approach is finally showing the sister island the real respect it deserve.

@Courtesy

You onto something as the Trini PD behaviour may well be related to the isolationist rhetoric of the UNC Government. That could be why Tobago wants out, as KPB and the UNC is Trinidad first.

Sat, May 23, '26 at 2:57 PM

.........................Read the above.

See why Fellow islands should not comment about T&T , they will look foolish as they are clueless.

Sat, May 23, '26 at 3:00 PM

@voiceofreason

The UNC as a party is so disinterested in Tobago they don't even contest general elections there.

I love Tobago and my afro brothers there.
