Keemo Paul is good enough to make the team. He might get a call up if injury becomes a factor.

Wondering about King.

Cause im sure he was in ANU at the camp.

Sun, May 31, '26 at 4:39 PM

@methodic

What exactly did Keemo do to make a limited overs squad?

The format that Keemo should be playing is test cricket.. thats if his body could handle it this time.

@anthonyp

Kemo Paul is an excellent cricketer

We all had high hopes for him when he first came on the scene. Unfortunately injury for the most part has stunted his progress.

He performed really well in the recent significantly abbreviated FC tournament, and now typically, man saying he should be in WI team…..in a format that he hasn’t performed in no less.

@anthonyp

Agreed. Keemo is potentially a top class red ball test bowler but experience has shown that he is no more than average with the white ball. Manage him by keeping him fit for A team and test cricket and rotating him in and out of the team if necessary

@imusic

if you look at his record in FC cricket, this series was not a fluke. He has generally performed in red ball cricket once he is fit. I maintain that the biggest mistake WI ever did was to pull him out of that A team tour to England several years ago for him to just come and sit on the bench in the West Indies. The experience he would have gotten bowling on those pitches with his skill would have been invaluable for his career.

@anthonyp

i think that this squad is about as good as it gets. I would have liked to find some room for Akeal Hosein in that mix but of course we are limited in numbers. Happy hunting, guys!!!

@positiveg

Wondering about King.

You got one Yardie in, John Campbell. Be happy!

@anthonyp

Thank god, WI train rolling without, King,the (footman!)

@Drapsey

Look you over there thinking me asking cause me a Jamaican. Nah cha me ah ask cause me a one West Indian.

No real surprises here. King has been failing in ODIS for a while , but will be in the Test series. I am hoping that Greaves would be made to open as he has done well int hat position for Leewards and it gives us more flexibility as he can bowl as well.

My starting XI:

Greaves

Campbell

Carty

Hope

Rutherford

Hetmeyer

Forde

Motie

Shamar

Joseph

SealeS

Chase may well play ahead of one of the batsmen but i think we need to go hard with pace at the Lankan bastmen.
