Keacy Carty's 1st over drop of Nissanka who went on to score 79. The selection of the team was un-balanced as you had seven bowling options and only used six. A batsman should have replaced one of those bowling options. Motie was very expensive, and Alzarri needs some more match-work.

My thoughts on the matter is based on the limited time viewing this game:
I missed the latter part of the match. Hope we make the necessary adjustments quickly

We lost not because of Carty catch drop.....or the brilliant catch taken to get rid of Carty....after that almost 99 overs played.....
We lost simply because our batters inability to play against spinners....
Theeksana was the difference between the two sides...
10 overs ...26 runs...2 wickets....

Playing Alzari, Shamar,Seales......is bad selection policy as well as strategy....we need a bowler in the mould of Holder... control, variation...can bowl at the death...Springer has proven during N.Z. series...also in T-20 matches...
Motie was expensive but I will play him....

Rotate the two Joseph’s and Hetmyer comes in place of Rutherford in the 3rd odi if he doesn’t come good in the second odi because he is a better player of spin. We have to play Motie and let him bowl his full quota. He is the main spinner and you have to use him as an attacking option.
Including Jangoo lengthens the batting line up and gives Hope a break from a very strenuous job (wk) and lets him focus on batting and being a captain.
Greaves and Rutherford can fill in some seam overs if needed.

Not rocket science, we gave up too many runs... 275 would've been more defend-able.
Drop Carty and add Jangoo. He takes too long to get going. Both him and Hope cannot beat cover if their lives depended on it. It's like these two was never thought how to use their wrist to open the face of the bat to beat cover point or short cover. So many dot ball from those two in that same area😡

I thought it was Sri Lanks who won hands down .....
Poor selection choices. Hetmyer should have played instead of a 4 prong.
All three strike bowlers, Seales , A. Joseph and S. Joseph should not be playing in a limited overs match unless the pitch is lightening fast.
Greaves played as a batsman only? What happened to Brandon King?

My point is for the last few years in all formats our batting has struggled yet the decision was to play four bowlers and three all rounders
Make it make sense
For me the ideal is five batters, one batting all-rounder,Greaves, and one bowling all-rounder, Chase or Forde and four bowlers.
But two play all three when our batting has been letting us down and causing us to lose matches just simply does not make sense and is quite unnecessary

i agree and I like your team. Springer comes in place of either Shamar or Alzharri. We pray that Motie gets it right in the second ODI or dog eat we supper. Well done to the Bim trio of Greaves, Hope and Chase in the first ODI. I still feel that Hope should open with Greaves and let Jangoo keep and bat down the order but I may be doing Campbell a disservice as he deserves his chance
