Would you employ a gardner as your electrician?

How come we have a canecutter as a head coach.

Sammy was a glorified canecutter when he played for West Indies. A lil' raw talent alone. Ah lie? Allyuh can check some old videos of Sammy swinging his bat for proof.

A head coach should understand all the technical aspects and nuances of the game. Is Sammy equipped to execute?

What about Reifer?...two main coaches of the team who imho, are not suited for theirr roles.

......................

I have to conclude that CWI believes in miracles.

@CCW

One of our problems insofar as coaching is concerned is that we develop plans and even if the plans don't work, we stick to the plan. We are not nuanced enough.

Rovman Powell was different as a captain and he may very well have lost his job because of his flexibility in execution.

...........

This deficiency should in no way shift our focus from the technical aspects of the game. If you are tecnnically sound you will find a way to rotate strike; when things are tough in batting you find a way to hunker down; you are more strategic in your approach because you have confidence in your ability.

Typical example: Greaves' dismisal...he lacked the competence to play the spin so he gave up and he played a cow shot.

Can I send you an oscilloscope so you can have a change of job?

Coming to think about it you may be right. I am a subsistence peanut farmer and i can use an oscilloscope proficiently.

My humble apology to you.

It is amazing how some may try to sound educated on much, but after proper analysis you realize they are mis-educated. Good or great players do not necessarily equate to great leaders or coaches. It's that simple. Look at the NBA finals right now are there re any coaches who have had outstanding NBA careers?

Your dumbest post to date and I am being generous.

Anyone can see Sammy just not up to the task of being coach and selector in all three formats

In any other professional sports setting he would have been long gone

A good coach does not have to be a great player. Greatness is often a liability in coaching. It is something we have seen repeatedly.
