But bowling needs major improvements. The two Joseph’s don’t seem to be genuine strike bowlers. Am not sure what Shamar issues are, but he seems to be regressing at rapid pace... Sabina Park aid pace bowler so let’s if he can turn things around… Alzarie never shows the skills of a front end strike bowler - not a wicket taker to win a match…

There was an 18 month period where honey was taking 3 wickets a match on a consistent basis, then got injured.

Shamar played well in australia… win a series for us, if i recall correctly- but seems to fallen off the rails… he made may need some coaching, if the ugly one can help in him in his consulting capacity will be good.

Nothing wrong with the bowling. We supposed to make that score easily

We gave-up 300+ runs...

@Cricket_101

300 runs is just a par score in modern cricket in the age of t20

Very getable our batters just did not apply themselves

Fri, Jun 5, '26 at 9:29 AM

@pariaman

Three hundred runs is par depending on who is batting and who is bowling. By the way, when will we fix our inability to play spin?

Fri, Jun 5, '26 at 9:30 AM

@pariaman

300 plus runs is the standard for top teams. I can't see how someone can say our batting is ok in this day and age. Getting a team to make only 300 or in that range is gettable for all the top teams in the world.

Our batting sucks and have sucked for a long time. Hope had to raise his scoring rate and have but now Carty is doing the same exact thing. None of the batsmen other than Hope is seen by the opposition as game changer or game winners.

Are we a top team?

The current squad can muster 250-275 against good bowling,, That is why we need potent bowling.

@seaegg99

Here you go again, picking on the only player than can bat in any situation, and can accelerate to chase down 300 runs

The power hitters can only bat 6 overs and failed constantly.

Did you actually read what I wrote?

So you are saying our batsmen are reasonable but can only score 250-275 and the solution to that is better bowlers?

What about trying to fix our batters?

Let the bowlers work on their game but I would more think that it is the bowlers who are reasonable since 300 at 6 runs an over is really not a stretch

Our bowlers have been doing well over the last few years but aside from hope we have nothing (which is clear to see by their averages)
