Our players are not mentally agile.

It is the honest truth. Year after year we see other countries introduce bowlers with the control and wit to limit our batsmen in the death. Yorkers and slower balls whether short or full cramp our batsmen. And then we also struggle against quality spinners.. So we can't consistently put up big scores suffering from both deficiencies.

Our bowlers always seem to be fumbling with execution in the shorter formats. None of them seem to be mastering their art. All these guys do for a living is play cricket. Yet they show up for every game like it's a new maths problem and by the end of the term they will figure it out.

So that is what we have.. And what we can do is hit the ball. Yes we have big hitters in abundance.. It doesn't matter if we pick Joseph, Joseph and Seales, we might as well pick Springer. It doesn't matter if we pick Carry and King, we might as well pick Paul.

So forget the specialist, we only have one. Pick all the hitters that can bowl and all the bowlers that can hit.
