the boy took 4(?) bottles of water from a cabinet, before replacing them. On the face of it, a curious thing to do. Did he do this because 1) he genuinely changed his mind, 2) he actually was stealing the bottles and had been challenged or believed he was being observed or 3) he thought he was being unfairly suspected and returned them in protest.

NONE of that matters. He put them back. THEN...THEN...THEN.... he turned out his mother facting pockets. You wanted him to also strip of his clothing?? He left his bag at the door as requested.

I have been observed as well (it's a rite of passage I guess), and I didn't grant none of the observers the courtesy of putting them back. I brought them to the counter, put them there, and then walked the fact out.

Yow, once again it doesn't matter if he had a gun on him. The fact he didn't use it or brandish it is all you need to consider.

Chow shot 2 unarmed people before this incident and got away with it. Chow was pissed that the kid was faster than him and his club foot son. He saw separation occurring with each yard, and said "fact it, you can outrun me, but not my bullet" and that was that.

Black people better wise up and start standing their ground, so when the next Chow runs up, he gets done up. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

Then again, a study has already shown that black people are not 'allowed' to use stand your ground laws. Only Whites (and I guess those with proximity to Whiteness) are allowed to use it.
