Hello and welcome to the third and final ODI of this series between West Indies and Sri Lanka. The visitors have a 1-0 lead after their comfortable win in the opener, while the second match was washed out due to rain. There might be some weather around today as well and the groundstaff will have to be on their toes.

2.02pm local, 12.32am IST:

There's a very light drizzle in the air.

It's not enough to stop the players from going through their warm-ups. However, the pitch is covered and the toss has been delayed.

@Chrissy

Hopefully lessons from the 2nd ODI have been learnt and they have more sponges, towels, and buckets available.

If this match is also abandoned. I can envisage the spin from the WI management team:

The rain came into our fortress and denied us demonstrating our obvious superiority.

Simply put, the Sri Lankans have escaped an epic beatdown that would have occurred if not for rain.

Even with that insignificant setback, we will easily automatically qualify for the World Cup.

We look forward to the blackwash we’ll put on them in BOTH the upcoming t20 and test series.

WE OUTSIDE!!
