In that team. Especially the afro Caribbeans ones. Who's the fitness coach and why are they not fined for their unprofessional appearance?
Too Many Fat Woman
@Halliwell
Overweight cos the first wicket. Easy enough single and Madam ain't able to respond to the call.
@Raggs
Who are the skinny ones you would replace them with? Identify the ones you have a problem with and then say who you would replace them with that is better? Yes, ideally a sports person wants to stay as fit as possible to execute as best as possible. But let's not fat shame our ladies. Let us commend them for carrying our flag high despite not being properly paid, funded or developed.
@Raggs
The Looks can deceive ent?
I am pretty sure the ladies are fully aware of How they look and I am equally sure they work hard at Nutrition and exercise too.
Give some grace as the most important thing is for them to work as a SINGLE UNIT while working on those appearance models you are requesting.
Game watched and yes it's a factor. Qiana Joseph is far too overweight. A simple fielding attempt was needed at mid on. It went through her legs and too heavy to adjust and make up for the fielding error. Couldn't chase down the ball, four runs given away. Tried to hide her in the field, batters pinpoint her even reverse sweeping in her direction, guaranteed 4 runs.
Batting, opening the innings, she takes singles and stop flat after completing it. No pressure on the fielders, no effort to make 1's into 2's. In fact our key batter Matthews almost got run out because of an obviously should be taken sharp single she fails to respond, so she's ran out and seems to want to blame her skipper for that.
We won that game because the other batters pushed for 2's and 3's forcing the opposition fielders to make mistakes under pressure hence dropped catches. T20 cricket is built on athleticism and of course cricket abilities. She ain't the only unfit, large sized player on that team.

I think Raggs is saying they seem pretty well developed to him
@jamcricket

If equity is a goal for the women’s game, why are there different fitness standards for the genders?
WI male players have been dropped &/r not selected for failing fitness tests.
There appears to be a very different metric when it comes to fitness for women’s cricket.
Matter of fact, what are the fitness standards expected for women cricketers to be selected for the WI team?
Are there any? If not, why not?
