I will add Shai Hope to the warm up match, since the CWI did not allow him.to play in the regional or in BCA games.He has not played red ball cricket since NZ.

Pals...I am keen on as many of the TEST Cricket youngsters getting opportunities together in truth.
Auguste, Kevin Wickham, Carty Motie,
Start to carve out a core set of them to get accustomed to working together against international competition.

Oh, absolutely. Let’s pop the champagne and throw a parade! Because nothing screams "we are ready to resurrect the glory days of West Indies Test cricket" quite like watching a batsman handle a spinning ball with the exact same panicked, hyperventilating confusion of a toddler trying to defuse a bomb.
Clearly, the ultimate, high-performance blueprint for Cricket West Indies is to build a core around the Ackeem Auguste aesthetic. Who needs archaic concepts like footwork, soft hands, or the ability to actually look at the ball when you can just stand there, completely paralyzed, radiating the pure energy of a stray cat cornered by a vacuum cleaner? It is truly inspiring stuff.
And you are so right sitting on the fence. It’s a lovely view while the entire house burns down. Let’s definitely continue to marvel at the sheer majesty of our "senior veterans", men who have stolen a living in the national side for years, putting on the exact same clueless, embarrassing display against spin as a terrified 22-year-old last night. It’s a masterclass in structural stagnation. Why should we expect a coaching staff to actually coach, diagnose technical flaws, or possess a single shred of formal elite qualification when we can just survive on pure "vibes" and nostalgia?
Clearly, Daren Sammy’s motivational speeches will magically alter decades of broken muscle memory. Who cares if our batsmen can't read a basic off-break? As long as the team chemistry is great while we get bowled out for double digits in Test matches, the system is working perfectly!
Consider the fence dismantled and those slivers thoroughly received up your rass. The reality is a total joke, and pretending this clown show is a "developmental process" is an insult to anyone with eyes.

@voiceofreason
and nothing else for his entire red ball career. Not while playing for Academy or otherwise. He is not ready. He may have some potential but at this time, that is it. Raw potential that is yet to be realised by stringing two consecutive innings of note together
@powen001
remember, I was talking about the four day warm up, not the test side for the names i mentioned. I think that those who performed credibly in the WI FC season deserve a chance on such a team. I was not advocating displacing the incumbent test players ..... yet.
@tc1
King, Hope, Hety if he decides to play test cricket. All of them need to get their eye in. Aljo and Motie and Warrican should be added to that list. That only leaves room for 5 non test playing players to get their chance to get some international game time but we need to have our test players ready to hit the ground running (as far as WI players are now capable of so doing)
