Excerpts to Queen Mia’s regional leadership

Sun, Jun 21, '26 at 10:25 AM

I am incredibly proud of Mia Mottley. Her leadership continues to bring nations and continents together through collaboration, compassion, and a shared vision for humanity. She exemplifies what it means to be a true humanitarian—advocating for unity, equity, and progress while inspiring people around the world to work toward a better future.

The Honorable Prime Minister Mia Mortley will always be one of the Giants of our time,  so much respect and admiration for her courage,  eloquence,  dignity. Charisma and leadership , the Caribbean stands with you, African people must stand together and demand reparations for this the greatest crime against humanity , thank you for your stewardship Prime Minister Mortley

Congratulations to all Barbadians for electing this amazing, gifted woman Mia Mottley as your Prime Minister, the other Caribbean islands should be so blessed as to have this type of leadership .. A true unifier, not just of her own country, or the Caribbean, but of like minded people around the world. ... Keep fighting the good fight Mia.

Mia Amor Mottley, anytime I hear you speak, I get teary eyes! You’re a testament that slavery, colonialism and imperialism all tried to break Africa but we survived! Our brothers and sisters all scattered around the world, have our shared values and cultures that have survived for centuries! Perhaps, the hope that one day, Africa will unite actually means it would do so with all Black people regardless of where they were born or live!

Your leadership is exemplary and you’re a living legend!!! God bless you!!!

As is always expected...impressive delivery; brutally honest and focused in content - the likes of which, inspires confidence and pride...in quest of achieving a respectful and respected Caribbean and African identity, in the prescribed context...with a redeeming sense of purpose and historical significance. - Wil Pluck (Social Critic).

A leader must speak with clarity, purpose, and steady confidence. Rather than using complex corporate jargon or manufacturing artificial charisma, effective leaders trim the fluff, deliver hard truths with empathy, and use inclusive language (e.g., "we" instead of "I") to align their team toward a shared vision. And that is what she deliver, High Commssioner Mia , may God continue to bless u, ur great impact for we the blacks.

Suddenly and his cronies have not proven themselves as competent leaders or competent protectors of regional integration, especially establishment of relationships with Caribbean and African partners. Many persons in the Caribbean enjoy opposing without providing sustainable alternate solutions.

Becos it glitters doesn’t mean it is gold.

Nigerians are now using Bim to get birthright citizenship for their children. And what is the govt going to do about this latest scam?

@sudden

Provide evidence and proof not just make ridiculous statements and run off. You seem okay with white Europeans in Barbados but you have a problem with brothers. These types of mental slavery are what Queen Mia is up against.

@Slipfeeler

Behind the closed doors of some upscale AirBnBs across Barbados, a hidden industry is taking root.

“They all look pregnant and we heard babies crying,” a resident in an affluent district recounted, watching groups of women dressed in hijabs strolling to the beach.

These are not standard tourists. They are in Barbados because of a highly-organised, heavily funded “birth tourism” scheme capitalising on Barbados’ citizenship laws, something the Government says is not on a widespread level, even as pregnant women stream into the country.

Wealthy African women are reportedly spending thousands of United States dollars to travel on the new Air Peace direct flight from Lagos to Barbados, a route that now runs twice a month.

I KNOW there's a lot Bajan Guyanese in the mix and it's amazing to see our countries come together, celebrating 60 years of independence is a huge milestone, and this new travel policy is a step in the right direction for our nations, can't wait to see what's next! Either way, we’re family.

Summary of the Statement

 Historical Milestone: The Prime Minister of Barbados has arrived in Guyana to celebrate Guyana's 60th Anniversary of Independence.

 New Travel Policy: Starting July 1, citizens of Barbados and Guyana can travel between the two nations using a valid national ID card instead of a passport.

 Practical Integration: While not full freedom of movement, this step is designed to make travel easier for ordinary people to conduct business, visit family, and reconnect.

 Cultural Legacy: The decision honors the legacy of former Barbadian PM Errol Barrow, who noted decades ago that Caribbean people integrate in their hearts long before governments do.

As a Guyanese born woman with Bajan roots through my grandparents, I feel deeply blessed to witness this new travel policy between our two countries.  This cultural legacy decision symbolizes unity, connection, and togetherness among our Caribbean People. It reflects a step in the right direction- one that honors our shared history, strengthens regional bonds, and creates greater opportunities for future generations. This is Leadership. 🇧🇧 & 🇬🇾

I love this woman soooo much I would really love to meet her someday to shake her hand and say “Well done good and faithful Servant.” Miss Mia you are truly serving the people of your country Barbados and the Carribean. I love you Honorable Mia Mottley💗🩷💕💕🩷❤️💗💐🌹🌺I would like to someday visit Barbados just to meet you🙏🏽🙏🏽👏👏🩷💕💐🌺
