Well if he cannot keep wicket and he does not put runs on the board as a batsman, then he will eventually find himself on the discard heap, just like Athanaze.
Athanaze is good on the eye but he cannot say he did not get chances to come good.

Agreed. I think that Silva is mature enough to realise that and hope that he can put some runs on the board during the series. He can console himself that his 20 is better than Imlach has scored in tests generally but the keeping errors he needs to correct. immediately
