I am still against both Sammy and Chase's appointments. And I am not gonna be swayed by one or two test matches. Sammy has done nothing that his acting predecessor did.. Coley had just done better in 2 overseas series than anyone in years and has qualifications Sammy doesn't. Saving tests on featherbeds in India and NZ is not yet enough to change my opinion. Chase adding a couple more 50's plus more assertive batting and captaincy could. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge those things is a hypocrite.

Let's see WI win tests and climb the rankings before any claim to the coach/selector/board member be heralded..

Chase should not have been retained as captain of the test side...he went into this game with a batting average of 24 after nearly 60 test matches. Even including his ongoing innings, his average remains very poor (25) for such as experienced test middle order player. Supporters of Chase also claim he is an all-rounder in international red ball cricket - his wickets cost almost 50 a go...so err, no, he is not...

Nothing will make you change your views on Sammy's or Chase's appointments. Anyone who has been following this team would appreciate that there has been marked improvement in our team play and batting since Sammy took over. Last test cycle under Coley we had 2 test centurions, this test cycle under Sammy we have 6 with 2 double-hundreds with games to play. You can continue living in a state of denial but this team is on the up and yes we will rise up all standings including Test and you will still find something to gripe about.

Whilst can congratulate Chase for his knock it is utterly ridiculous to call out ppl who wanted both he an Sammy out....let's keep it real Chase went 21inns WITHOUT a 50 so law of averages dictates at some point it will be ur day assuming you hadn't already been dropped which in most teams you would have been but Chase's bowling an latterly captaincy has saved him so no biggup or vindication of Sammy is worthy!!

With the bat, obviously. His captaincy in the field was poor - Sri Lanka should not have been let off the hook and he failed to apply pressure when the West Indies were well on top.

His innings was patently due...but he should not be the captain.

What he is saying with all this hype now for Jangoo, just make him string a few low scores and see how long he last. Someone said tits are a bit insecure or is that sensitive.
