On the weather front, scattered showers are expected on all five days, so let's hope we get a full game.

Dhananjaya de Silva: We are going to bat first as the wicket looks drier than the last time. We got to do better than last time.
Three changes for us because of injuries. We have to bowl well and take the 20 wickets. We batted well in the first innings but haven't bowled well.
Roston Chase: We would have bowled first, so happy. Two changes for us. Joshua Da Silva and Roach are out. Hope and Anderson Phillip come in. Hope will kep wickets.
We want to become a consistent Test playing nation and show we can replicate what we did in the first Test.

@Narper

Pleasant day to all WI cricket fans. I sincerely hope the WI team proves me wrong, but the weather report may be a blessing to the team. Because they can not elevate their concentration to the level required for Test Cricket two games in a row.

Hope's return should be a boost, El Capitan can now be dropped for the next twenty games. Again please prove me wrong.

@Narper

I'm not sure about Shai as a Test keeper.

I Hope I'm wrong.

Pitch report | Mali Richards: It has a good even grass covering. That's something we saw in the previous Test match last week, but there's a slight difference here today. There's a tinge of green on this one, and the fast bowlers relish seeing a tinge of green. 27 out of 29 wickets were taken by pacers in the last match. But also, think about that historic partnership between Chase and Jangoo.
Runs could be hard here at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, they will be posed more with a challenge with the grass and also a few cracks as well here on day one. So just expect some variable bounce. I'm expecting the pacers to dominate once again here at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

@mikesiva

he should then be batting #5 or#6

Nishan Madushka and Lahiru Udara are at the crease.

Nishan Madushka is on strike.

Jayden Seales will open the attack

Jayden Seales to Nishan Madushka, FOUR, that's the first boundary of the match! Banged in short outside off, Nishan Madushka plays it on the rise, carving it over cover-point for four runs. Good shot to open his account and get going

A bit harsh but Silva knows that he has himself to blame. Interesting to me that Hodge keeps his spot but part of that may be because no one wants to bat at No. 3 except him!

Day 1: 1st Session

SL 4/0 (1.1) CRR:3.43

Nishan Madushka 4 (6)

Lahiru Udara 0 (0)

Shamar Joseph to Lahiru Udara, FOUR, pitched up by the bowler outside off, Lahiru Udara goes for a flashy drive away from his body, gets an outside edge that eludes the fielder at gully who was diving across to his right. Chase was the fielder stationed there. Shamar Joseph has a wry smile on his face as he enticed the batsman into a drive
