Need tons from you both!

Simply put. Your best players play no matter what format. Some say don't change a winning team , but exceptions must be made when your best player is coming back from injury!

@voiceofreason

It's a matter of stepping up when called.on....we drop catches that allow Sri to get to a huge score

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 4:57 PM

@Wasp

Yes catches were dropped that deprived us of getting a grip on the game. Our bowling has been on point for some time but what we are seeing in recent times is our batting coming to the party. I want these two guys to ton up.

@voiceofreason

Sammy showing his brilliance whole many were guess the playing XI

@InHindsight

Lat test cycle :

2 tons.

This test cyle:

7 tons including 2 doubles.

Something is happening and even Sammy's fiercest detractors are in denial or dumbfounded in the face of this renaissance.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 6:46 PM

@Wasp

Too many catches dropped for my liking ...

over 100 more runs made from a man dropped on 55.

Nuff said

no excuses for it

Credit to Sammy for bring back depth and quality to the test match side in batting😎

@voiceofreason

Spanish machete mout' what were you saying when the best players such as Sarean were being rooted out of the team.? Wasn't Sara dropped for failing a fitness test he wasn't even assigned? No one said Hope shouldn't return so stop it.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 7:19 PM

Credit to Hope for making his comeback substantive.

I was one of those who was reluctant to change a winning team.

That said, I like the way these guys are approaching the batting.

I am very cautious about extrapolating these results, but if that consistency continues this team can be very competitive.

Last game it was Jangoo and Chase.

This game at least three have shown up: Hope and Greaves and Campbell surprising everyone by passing fifty. He seems to be quite content to give up his wicket when he reaches in the mid thirties.

From what VOR told me earlier we are still 31 runs short of the follow-on.

barring a colossal collapse, I anticipate we will reach the target and this game will end in a draw.

@Brerzerk

One of the Detractors obviously dumbfounded as you are now making up West Indian players; Sarean?

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 9:05 PM

@embsallie

It's 350 so 32 runs away which should be fine. Then our next objective would be to erase the deficit.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 9:10 PM

@voiceofreason

This partnership must save us the test match, it has been really good, this is the type of batting we have miss in the past 10 to 15 years, saving this is like a win
