Congratulations to both King and Campbell for their unbeaten opening century partnership stand, to ensure that West Indies team did not suffer defeat. Both openers scored unbeaten half centuries in their batting effort, to deny any chance of a Sri Lankan victory. Of course, we commend both Greaves and Chase for their exceptional and exemplary batting performances to guide West Indies to a terrific position in terms of almost 500 runs scored against Sri Lanka .

Been very impressed with Campbell's efforts to apply himself since his return. He still has a concentration issue but you can see he is making an immense effort to overcome it

I find this quite interesting and before "one" offers that Devon was in and out of the team (this within his control); Campbell was on a doping violation hiatus from the team. Devon also had Gayle to guide him.

Brandon King - cannot find an abiding city. Did he undergo a sex change and become Ms. Cast instead of Mr. King? Miscast as a T-20 specialist now miscast as an opener. His once promising career has not reached the height one would have expected.

I would give him some time. Early days yet in his test career and at least he is trending in a decent direction so far. He is no Lara, Chanders, Gayle, Sarwan, Hooper type batsman so far but he has done himself credit in the opening role as far as I am concerned

Kraigg and Tage have had several big partnerships at the top. What Campbell and King are doing is not like we've struck gold. They have yet failed to kick on to bigger scores.

Kraigg is not a world beater but he has put up some decent numbers and centuries for the West Indies team, relative to the rest of the team. Tage averaged 29.13 and Braithwaite 32.5, big disparity between them.

No my brother, it’s always instrumental to encourage our WI players and not just one set of players from an individual island. If you check my previous post, you will see my congratulations to Greaves and Chase. You guys always seem to have a problem when players from certain islands are encouraged but even quicker to criticize them as soon as it appears that they might be failing. That’s a shame my brother!

King doesn't appear to have the game or mental capacity to succeed in test cricket long term...only very good players are able to adjust an succeed in all formats an King is certainly is not very good ....he will struggle against spin mainly because he doesn't use his feet an plays everything from the crease....Campbell is more capable an confident against spin but overall needs to be more patient an did show signs of that in the 2nd inns.
