We don't hear this often enough from commentators when our pace bowlers are bowling.

The obvious reason is lack of consistency and a dearth of planning as to how to get batsmen out.

......................

Some of our pace bowlers instead prefer to work consistntly in beehives. 😀

.....................

It's time to cut our loses with some of our pace bowlers, Btw, what has Anderson got to offer? Is he a worker bee?

....................

Some of us can never forget an over Michael Holding bowled to Boycott at the Mecca.😀

I will always welcome constructive criticism and whilst the consistency could certainly be improved, we would also do well to remember just how well the fast bowlers have generally performed over the past few years.

Jayden Seales - age 24, 102 wkts (avg 26, SR 46)

Shamar Joseph - age 26, 58 wkts (avg 23, SR 35)

Kemar Roach - age 38, 300 wkts (avg 26, SR 51)

Alzarri Joseph - age 29, 130 wkts (avg 33, SR 54)

Those statistics stand up to almost any other attack in the game. As a quartet, they are the strongest West Indian pace attack for many years.

Yeah but Alzarri who should be taking up the mantle of the leader of the attack when Kemar retires is 1st change an deservedly so cos he's either a slow-learner or just stubborn an won't listen look how he storm off the field cos he din get the field placing he wanted...he needs to recognise only champions like a Marshall or Ambrose for eg can dictate field placings to cappo.....not sure about Anderson gotta give he more time!

@4REALQUICKS

Bruh Honey's testfigures are nothing to write home about. His 3 wickets per test match will not win you matches as a frontline pace bowler.

From the above we need 5 Shamars not 5 Honeys.

@CCW

Honey is simply not a team player playing a team sport.

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 9:00 AM

@Courtesy

He has all the physical attributes...so how do we get the best outta him.....maybe entrust him with the new ball an see if dat will perk him up by showing confidence in him??....just a thought!😀

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 9:04 AM

@CCW

Do you think that Honey never got the new ball?

Further, if after 42 test matches we cannot get the best out of Honey it's time to cut our losses.

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 9:13 AM

@Courtesy

Who would you replace him with?

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 9:18 AM

@Courtesy

Only thing is they are not ppl kicking the door down to come in....looks like Anderson is next in the pecking order an the jury is still out pon him......heaven help us if Shamar and/or Jayden sustain long term injuries!!

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 9:18 AM

@spider

If there are not 4 young pacers within the region with potential then let us forget about cricket.

No test side should have players who just make up the 11.

Investment, investment.

@Courtesy

I await your analysis of Roston Chase's innings vs the short Lankan medium Pacer. You are so obsessed with Honey, you have little time for anything else.

Thu, Jul 9, '26 at 11:50 AM

@Courtesy

I dont think they are many to choose from. Alzarri is still among the best we have I think. If the likely replacements are Layne and Phillips and Shields I think he will have that spot for a while. I agree he should be ahead of where he is. He does decent bowling from time to time and has qualities like pace and the ability to swing the ball. But he ought to be more consistent.

@voiceofreason

Start your thread on Chase.

This one is about our pyam pyam pace bowlers.

.....................

I'll sat this though, I will pick Chase ahead of KC Carty any day of the week.

@spider

If Alzarri is our only choice as a pacer well "devil help our cricket."
