If Roach is not fit for PAK test...

the end is nigh

at 38, body preservation can only go so far.

with that in mind, there is not a good replacement for him, the test team is still in transition and having another new player is not ideal, anderson seems to be the next option but i am not convinced, he does not seems international quality

there is one option that gives us an adequate if not better replacement for roach.....JHolder, him coming in would be the best option to not disrupt that bowling unit right now.....the way how greaves is going now, i would not burden him with a ton of bowling

with holder we can have a good 5ish years and bolster the batting unit

@conman

there is also Keemo Paul, who was in the squad for the final test. His body of work at regional levels also merits giving him a chance at test level. I only hope that they do not play him in the white ball series as I do not rate him as a white ball bowler

@conman

Hope he is fit. Agreed Jason Holder would be the ideal replacement but is he available???

What happened to Nial Smith who appears quicker than Keeemo. Like Keemo though as a long term option.

Good problem to have. There was a time when we barely had any options.

If Jason is fit, willing and available to play red ball cricket, that would lengthen the tail in terms of batting and add a slightly new dimension to the bowling. There would also be the services of Greaves if needed.

That would work extremely well giving the quicks a breather.

In the absence of the above, I think Keemo who is already in the squad, should get his chance.
