2 dead Shooting on St Clair , Toronto

Toronto Police say two people are dead and multiple others are injured following a mass shooting incident in the area of St. Clair Ave. W. and Arlington Ave. Saturday night.In a subsequent update, police said six individuals were found with gunshot wounds and two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

A police source told the Toronto Sun that two males were fatally shot at the festival. In addition, a 40-year-old man, 19-year-old woman and another female were among those who were injured. Police also recovered two firearms at the scene and a vehicle was also seen leaving the area, the source said.

The annual TD Salsa on St. Clair happens along St. Clair Avenue West between Christie Street and Winona Drive. It is touted as Canada’s No. 1 “Latino-themed cultural celebration.” According to the event, it attracts hundreds of thousands of people during the two-day festivities.

Three suspects are being sought by Toronto Police after one person was gunned down and two others seriously injured following a triple shooting Friday night in North York. Police say officers responded shortly after 11 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the Jane St. and Sheppard Ave. W. area. Cops found three men in their 20s who had been shot, including one who was unconscious and not breathing, police said.

Despite live-saving measures by officers and medics, that victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims located with gunshot wounds were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Abdihamiim Aden of Toronto. He is the city’s 18th homicide victim of the year.
