New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field

Mitchell Santner: We're going to bowl first again. I guess it is quite slow during the day, the pitch. Obviously, it's a used wicket, but it looks okay. We'll go out there and try to do something similar to the last game. (On the difference in the surfaces that were used for the first and the second ODIs) It looked a little bit drier, the second pitch. But this one played pretty well the other night. Obviously it's used again, but I think it'll play slightly better. I guess it's similar stuff with the ball. We've got one change. Nathan Smith is back in for Matt Fisher

Shai Hope: ( (Team changes) Yes, two changes. Hetmyer comes in for Jangoo, and Keemo Paul comes in for Forde. (On the rationale behind the changes) Anyone who understands these conditions would be Keemo and Hetmyer. They've played here for quite some time. Hetmyer in any team is going to strengthen the batting line-up. I'm not taking anything away from Jangoo, because he's playing really well. Keemo has his skills as well, so he's going to be a good addition to the team.

Predictable, who won the toss would bowl.

Pitch Report | Stacy-Ann King: Some rain around earlier, but that has quickly dissipated. But I am in the middle, and we have the tale of two pitches for you. We are here with pitch number four that was used in the second ODI. Twenty wickets have fallen to spin in the series, twelve of those to this surface. If you have a closer look at it, you can see a lot more cracks on it around the area, and a lot less greenery as well. But over to pitch number two that will be used in today's game, and that pitch was used in the first ODI as well. A lot more greenery on it, more compactness, a lot less cracks opening up. So I do expect conditions to be conducive to slow bowling, but I also expect batters, if they absorb pressure and apply themselves, that there'll be runs to be had on this surface. All in all, two big teams, a fantastic contest in hand, so do expect a captivating battle.

John Campbell and Ackeem Auguste are at the crease.

John Campbell is on strike.

Jacob Duffy will open the attack

0.1

Jacob Duffy to John Campbell, no run, a chirpy appeal for lbw first up! Fullish delivery swinging in towards leg-stump, Campbell tries to flick it across but falls over a bit in his stance and is struck on the pads. Jacob Duffy feels that it was going down leg while Mitchell at slip felt it looked good. Santner doesn't take the review. Looked like it might have gone down leg to the naked eye

0.5

Jacob Duffy to John Campbell, 1 run, to third man

Thu, Jul 16, '26 at 2:36 PM

1.1

Nathan Smith to Ackeem Auguste, no ball, short of length delivery shaping in on middle and leg, Ackeem Auguste hangs back and keeps it out. Nathan Smith has overstepped so a Free Hit is coming up...

1.1

Nathan Smith to Ackeem Auguste, no run, shortish delivery shaping across Auguste. He tries to pull it too hard and mistimes it to mid-wicket

3.6

4

Nathan Smith to Ackeem Auguste, FOUR, 132.1kph hard length delivery angling away from Auguste. Not that short but Auguste gets into a decent position. He gets on top of the bounce

3.5

Nathan Smith to Ackeem Auguste, 2 runs, 137kph fuller length delivery around off, Auguste tries to force it through covers but gets it off the inner half through square leg. The fielder in the deep hares across to his right and slides to save a couple of runs for his side

@Narper

Good running tween the wickets so far..

I agree...

Mindset must be, however the toss goes...We playing to win.

I was never comfortable with this growing Mantra of we must Win toss and chase stuff
