I feel it's because our junior programmes are weak or do not exist. Look around at how many are still playing cricket, just not getting the foundation laid like the greats of the past. So if one or two should leave, with a sound youth programme and A team tours, players would be better prepared to fill the gap.

If Akeal was available for the recent ODI series Motie would have been on the bench or out of the squad.

Come again? Motie was the leading wicket taker for WI in that series, including a 4fer and one match-saving innings with the bat. So he didn't deserve his place in the XI?
