@CCW
A bowler who has played 42 tests (67 innings) with only 2 five wicket hauls and zero ten wicket hauls should never be entrusted with a new ball.
These are paltry figures.

Yes, he hasn't lived up to expectations but how many fast bowlers do we have better than him? There may come a day when West Indies can walk away from him. However, that day hasn't come yet.

personality traits
This is exactly where sports psychology comes in. Every elite athlete has mental and emotional challenges to overcome. Identifying the root cause isn’t about blaming the individual. It’s about understanding what is limiting performance and helping them perform at their best.
@WICFan
Has anyone reached out to Alzarri for his side of the story?
And Alzarri shoulders arms!
He has a contract with WICB . If he is not fulfilling the terms of the contract then take it away and pay him on a per game basis.
No one is bigger than the game
Oh and by the way, our societies are too small for this constant, open criticism of our sports heroes who are neither pastor, politician nor executive.
Maybe some of you posters should take time to consider that the guys read this forum.
@WICFan
Don't you think that as a contracted player the onus is on him to furnish his employer with definitive and plausible reasons for violating contrctual obligations.instead of the naked "personal reasons."
Voicey, where does your loyalty lie? Are you "torn between two lovers.?"
@Courtesy
A lot of people here work for other people. Sometimes people here and eslewhere only report their absence hours after they were supposed to be at work. Then they call this a personal day. No problem.
If Alzarri says he needs personal time, for whatever reason, let's leave it at that. Details are irrelevant. Who knows, maybe he'll be ready if called on for the second test.
@Fantom
And, is the above your rational explanation for proceeding on lvacation leave without permission and without any regard or respect for your employer? The Head coach is left completely out of the loop.
You just need the "personal time" and take it?
I respect your point of view.
Let's leave it there.
