A car accident meant he missed the Tests against India, and the presence of Roy Fredericks and Gordon Greenidge made it nigh on impossible for him to regain one of the opening slots. He made his third and final appearance - batting No. 3 - the following winter in the sixth Test against Australia at Melbourne where he made 3 and 20 against the might of Lillee and Thomson. That was that.
Had a test average of 46 from 3 tests and is currently 80 years of age. He is Guyanese as well like Tage. This is the first time I'm hearing about him to be honest but obviously was a good batter. It shows you the level of talent we used to have back in the days
