Bro....you taking a literal interpretation of "hitting the ball off the square" of course he could hit boundaries but my point was his 1st 6 HALF CENTURIES HAD AN AVE S/R OF 38 8 which is not far removed from Tage's 34.5 in the 2nd inns it's how he started but certainly not how he finished....with the blazing 100 against Aus @ Bourda being his quickest with more than a run a ball!

CC bro you are mis-using stats. Shiv's 1990's early s/r coming in @ #6 should never ever be compared to Tage's 2020's as an opener; never. In fact some of Shiv's best early career innings were at #3 in Oz where he took on the attack and asserted himself as a #3 should. It is a cricket since to compare on any way whatsoever the batting of father and son. Only worse comparison could be Viv and Mali
