The Telegraph: This picture is a sobering reminder of Test cricket’s peril

we have the start of the latest West Indies vs Pakistan Test series. Their teams are observing a minute’s silence in memory of Sobers, who died, aged 89, earlier this month. You need a magnifying glass to see a spectator.

What makes this picture more poignant is that West Indies’ Test cricket might have bottomed out. Some resilience is being built into the players.

i would have respected this article if the writer was different. but this author is a wolf in sheep's clothing. he does not wish west indies cricket well at all. as recently as 2009, he was calling for the break up of the islands as a team.
