Admittedly he played on but I'm pretty sure he gets bowled way above average for a top batsman....maybe somebody will pull the stats!!
Wonder what Shai's "bowled" % is???
Peess here only see Hope as fairly weak against fast short balls.
I said a long time that Hope biggest weakness is playing balls pitched up on off-stump.
his beautiful off drives are mainly on the up.
I believe that his strength of driving on the up is now a weakness.
he needs to defend those balls until he gets comfortable.
Too much white ball cricket.
Too much white ball cricket also negatively impacting others' batting.
Chase and King are the other 2 main culprits.
They are playing away from their pads
and opening up their legs to drive.
I would suggest about 80% of the times he has been bowled he has played on.
In reality he gets bowled playing offensive shots which I believe shows his weakness.

Gill, Brook, Stokes, Azam, Markram, etc ALL play MORE white ball cricket than red ball cricket. Few, if any of them play domestic red ball cricket anymore.
This insistence on blaming white ball cricket for players deficiencies is just “bogeyman stories”, born out of fear, no little envy, & not grounded in any reality &/or data.
@imusic
You are entitled to your opinion bro.
Naming a few outliers does not make your point true.
Chase, King and a few others open up when batting.
This is how most White ball batsmen bat.
I see it creeping into red ball batting.
If you don't or can't see it, don't blame me.
